SUPERSTARS David Bowie and Placido Domingo will have a touch of Northern hospitality at tonight's Brit Awards - from Burnley girl Justine Russell.
She said: "I will be responsible for making sure they have everything they need and making sure they get on stage in time because they are performing a duet of 20th Century Boy.
"I was a runner last year at the Good Food Awards when I had to look after Jonathan Ross and he was nice. It gave me a bit of practice for today."
Justine, 22, worked on sound and lighting at Burnley Mechanics while she completed her HND in professional sound and video technology at Salford University.
Then she got her big break in London working as a technical assistant for GMG Endemol Entertainment.
The company produces programmes such as Changing Rooms, Can't Cook, Won't Cook, Ready Steady Cook and Groundforce.
Justine is in charge of the three editing suites, camera equipment and dubbing and is hoping to train to become an editor.
She said: "Initial is sponsoring the awards and GMG is part of that company. They needed runners to look after the stars and they decided to use people from the company and I was chosen.
"I met David Bowie and Placido Domingo at rehearsals on Sunday and David is more handsome than I thought. He was really nice."
Justine, whose parents Angela and Michael live in Ightenhill Park Lane, will be looking after the stars for 10 hours today.
