SHADOW Defence Secretary John Maples toured BAe at Samlesbury and saw the £3 million assembly engineering building where 300 employees are working on the Eurofighter Typhoon programme.
"It gave us an opportunity to show the investment we have made in both people and machinery to get us ready for production and make this programme a success," said Pete Barrow, head of manufacturing operations.
