LANCASHIRE Ambulance Service has appointed Dr Richard Fairhurst its clinical director.
He will advise the service part time, in addition to his current role as a consultant in the accident and emergency department at Chorley and South Ribble district hospital.
He replaces Professor Stuart Horner who retired as clinical director at the end of December.
David Hill, chief executive of Lancashire Ambulance Service, said: "Professor Horner has been closely involved with our service for the past 12 years and we are very grateful for his sound advice and guidance."
