EMBARRASSED Kendall Gibbons has been revealed as the object of desire for a daredevil Romeo who scaled a motorway traffic sign to spell out his love.
The mystery man altered the sign at junction 13 of the M65, the turn off for Nelson and Kendal, to send a romantic message to the woman of his dreams.
But the lovesick ploy has been dismissed by Kendall as motorway madness.
Del got hearts throbbing when he changed the motorway sign to read: " Del loves Kendal''.
The Kendall in question is 19-year-old is sales adviser Kendall Gibbons. Kendall, who works at New Look ladies fashions in The Mall, Burnley, said: "I have only met Del once although he has tried to chat me up when I have been out clubbing.
"On Friday he sent me twelve red roses and a bottle of perfume to the shop.
"Then on Saturday night people kept coming up to me and telling me about how he had changed the sign on the motorway.
"He certainly seems to be smitten which might be good for my ego but not such good news for my boyfriend Carl who is not too happy about it.''
Kendall who lives in the Marsden area of Burnley added: " I love to go out clubbing and go to the Genesis night club in Burnley every weekend."
