A TAXI war continued at Accrington's Holme Street rank. Asian drivers wanted passengers to go to the front of the queue while white drivers said passengers should be able to choose which cab they wanted. Council officers were asked to put up a sign encouraging people to go to the head of the rank, but the council had no statutory powers to do so.
