HI, my name is Angie and I am a St Helens native.
I now reside in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA. I have been surfing the web in hopes of finding the St Helens Star when finally I did.
I used to live on Borough Road till about five years ago when I had the opportunity to come to the States. I really miss not knowing all the news from home and the latest on the Saints. Rugby League is a little too rough for the guys over here I think.
I have been here for five years and have recently married and moved to Salt lake. I really miss my fish and chips and Marmite so fortunately I found an English pantry that sells all our wonderful foods and snacks.
It's amazing how much I miss home. You can't even find a real pub over here. In Utah they have a law where you have to join a bar or saloon to be able to go in and drink. This is because they have a no-smoking law here which means you cannot smoke in any public places except on the street - and they call this the land of the free!
Keep up the good work. I really love seeing what is happening in my home town, it helps with the homesickness.
