BENEAST training arranged for pupils from Montgomery High School in Bispham to visit two Fylde employers as part of their media studies project.
The site visits were arranged as a result of the extensive work carried out by Beneast Training and LAWTEC within local schools.
Pupils visited TVR Engineering and Fleur Holidays in Bispham to gather information and take photographs for a project looking at modern apprenticeships in the work place. When complete the project will be used to inform other pupils about training programmes such as modern apprenticeships and national traineeships.
Montgomery pupils Caroline Lenton and Emma Parkin were accompanied on the visits by Ian Roberts of Beneast Training and Cheryl Rouse of LAWTEC. Ian Roberts, Beneast liaison officer, said:
"Giving pupils the opportunity to visit employers and to speak directly to the modern apprentices provides a valuable insight into the world of work.
"Visiting employers also highlights the huge range of exciting opportunities open to young people who choose work based training."
