AS Blackpool FC march another three places up the league table courtesy of a 0-1 win at Notts County, managing director Gill Bridge once again shares with Citizen readers the news and views from Bloomfield Road:
What a great result at Meadow Lane on Saturday (Feb 13) and such a superb shot from Steve Bushell after just five minutes.
The only disappointment was picking up five bookings in what was by no means a dirty game.
I hope this does not cause us too many problems in the coming weeks.
Already Brett Ormerod is having to sit out Saturday's game through suspension, now Tony Butler will be missing against Luton on February 27.
It was very moving to witness a one minute's silence before the match in memory of the late Arthur Mann.
He was known as a player for Notts County but he was also dear to us here at Blackpool after serving as our scout in the Midlands area.
He was a great name in the game and will be sadly missed.
On the player front we have been depleted in the left back position for some time following injuries to John Hills and Barry Shuttleworth.
Thankfully, both are showing signs of improvement and we are hoping that John will be playing in a reserve match later this week, while Barry could be returning to training in a week to ten days.
We wish both of them a quick return to full fitness and look forward to them turning out for the first team again very soon.
With this week being half term, community officer Derek Spence has again been running soccer schools at Greenlands High School.
More than 100 football-mad youngsters have attended and some of them will get a chance to play on our hallowed turf on Saturday - we're hoping to stage a mini final for them during half-time.
This week (Feb 20) we welcome Lincoln City to Bloomfield Road and hope we can continue our good run of form.
Your support during the game is vital for this and in a bid to encourage more youngsters through the turnstiles we are delighted once again to be running our Quid-a-Kid scheme.
All under 16s will be able to watch the Seasiders for just £1.
I hope to see you all getting behind the lads once again and helping them get another much-needed three points.
