I'VE nothing against fund raising for charity, but why do we have to put up with stupid antics for Children in Need and even dafter ones for the biennial Red Nose Day?
The event raised £27 million on the last outing. That's brilliant and I salute Lenny Henry and the team of comedians who take part. But I get sick of being assaulted on the streets and at crossroads by 6ft bucket-waving rabbits with a licence to be a nuisance for a day.
Just let me buy my silly nose, if I can get one (they had run out at Oxfam last week). Let me contribute via the specially prepared antiques guide and cookery leaflet, then everyone else please leave me alone on March 12.
