THE annual St Helens Volunteer Awards 1999 will be officially launched at St Helens Town Hall today (Friday).
The formal announcement of the awards, which are given to agencies and individuals who regularly give up their spare time to help others, will be made by Councillor Mike Doyle, leader of St Helens Council, while the mayor, Councillor David Craig, will present honourary certficates to every volunteer who has completed 100 hours of service.
