DRUGS are thought to have played a part in the death of a 24-year-old woman found unconscious at her Blackburn home.
Attempts to resuscitate Bianca Gattei, of Scotland Bank Terrace, Livesey, failed and she was pronounced dead at Blackburn Infirmary.
A 31-year-old man was arrested at the house and questioned at Blackburn Police Station. He has since been released on bail pending further investigations.
A post mortem examination was carried out and the results of a toxicology report have yet to be released.
DS Joe Kellett, of Blackburn CID, said: "We arrived at the house which she shared with her boyfriend shortly before noon on Saturday. We are considering the possibility that drugs may have played some part in the death of Miss Gattei."
The woman's parents and elder brother who live in East Lancashire said they were too upset to talk.
