AN estimated 600 ale and music lovers visited a beer festival at Oliver's Bar at Burnley Mechanics - but that was only a taste of things to come.
Sixteen brews of real ale including Hobgoblin, Old Speckled Hen, Abbot's Ale, Riggwelter and Tiger Best were available.
Music was provided by blues group Twisted Wheel on Friday, PHUD, a local Indie band tipped for the top, on Saturday, and The Forest Jazz Band who helped things go with a swing yesterday.
Bar manager Mick Greenwood said: "We had a brilliant weekend.
"But this was only a little festival, a tester to see how interested people would be.
"It has gone down so well that we are now hoping to organised about four festivals a year."
