A KIND-hearted duo are planning to walk from Manchester to Blackburn in a bid to raise money for charity.
Steven Holt and Graham Hall, who work at Blackburn Town Hall are on the lookout for sponsors for their 45-mile walk to raise cash for the Mayor of Blackburn with Darwen's Golden Years charity.
The pair will set off from Manchester on Thursday March 25, and hope to arrive in Blackburn in time for breakfast the following day.
Graham said: "We are delighted to be doing this walk for the Mayor of Blackburn with Darwen's charity.
"As well as raising lots of money we hope to increase awareness of the aims of the charity, which includes helping the elderly of Blackburn and Darwen."
Anybody wishing to sponsor event can telephone Graham or Steven on 01254 663573 or the mayor's office on 01254 585229.
People wishing to pledge money for the walk can call in to Blackburn or Darwen Town Hall information centres where they can sign a sponsor form.
