THE terrible disciplinary record of Rovers continues. Peter White (LET, February 18) comments on it but makes no attempt to explain it.
Perhaps giving the captaincy to Sutton, who has a terrible record (just like his predecessor), was not wise.
He said after the Chelsea match: "If somebody has a pop at me, I'm entitled to have a pop back."
What an invitation for future opponents to wind him up.
When a young and inexperienced player, such as Broomes, sees his captain indulging in such petulance, he might be forgiven for emulating him.
It might also help if Brian Kidd was less demonstrative on the touchline where he seems to contest every decision which does not go his way.
His team is fast getting an unenviable reputation.
