A MAN from Swansea is looking for members of his family that he lost contact with half a century ago.
Edward Gibson is trying to trace Eileen and Hilda, daughters of his uncle, the late Charles Martin Saville, of Todmorden.
He said: "They must both be in their seventies by now and may or may not be still living locally assuming, hopefully, they are both still alive. They probably married and will have different surnames.''
He said his uncle moved from Wales to Todmorden to work in the mills. Mr Gibson said he was trying to contact all members of his family in connection with the presentation to the Army museum at Brecon of a picture of his grandfather who served in the 24th Regiment of the South Wales Borderers, many of whom were wiped out in the Zulu wars.
Mr Gibson said: "Thankfully my grandfather was in India at that time otherwise I would not be here to ask for your help.''
Anyone who knows sisters Eileen and Hilda can contact Mr Gibson at Dleanymaes Drive, Dleanymaes, Swansea, West Glamorgan or call 01792 580518.
