A JAZZ band with no fewer than 28 members will take the stage this Friday at the Hornby Theatre, Blackburn Library.

The group, called the Jam Factory, is the brainchild of double bass player Steve Berry, of Revidge, who had three successful albums in the 1980s with the 21-piece jazz band Loose Tubes.

Steve's wife Cats plays tenor saxophone and his children also play a big part, with Hannah, seven, on violin and percussion, Jacob, eight, on melodica and percussion, Jessica, 10, on the flute, and Daniel, 11, on clarinet and saxophone.

The band's age range spans more than five decades, and there are other parent-and-child combinations within the group.

Tickets for the event, which starts at 7.30pm, cost £2.50 and can be bought on the door, subject to availability.
