STAFF at Little Harwood Post Office are celebrating National Lottery success after scooping a top award in a retailers scheme.
The store is among just 2,000 lottery retailers in the country to recieve a Gold Standard in Camelot's Best Lottery Practice scheme - a training and development programme which rewards retailers in a bid to ensure high quality service to players.
Subpostmaster Theresa Eaves explained: "We had to complete training modules on areas such as security, communications, lottery terminal operation and selling skills and it was quite intensive."
The post office was also checked for displaying lottery information and its sales were compared with those from the same time last year. It has achieved one of the highest sales increases in the country.
Theresa added: "Having a BLP Gold certificate on our wall is a sign to players that they will be dealing with experts when they buy their lottery tickets from us."
