ACCRINGTON Stanley boss Wayne Harrison has snapped up Blackpool striker Steve Longworth on loan ahead of Saturday's relegation showdown with Spennymoor United.
But the Reds chief has cooled his interest in Hull City striker Andy Saville because the veteran front man is struggling for match fitness.
Harrison confirmed Longworth will go straight into the side in place of the injured Paul Heavey for their crucial home clash against fellow strugglers United.
"I'm delighted to have got him because Paul Heavey is not going to be fit in time," said Harrison.
"He has featured in the first team at Blackpool and he's a very hard working player with a lot of pace."
But former Burnley and Preston North End striker Saville won't be joining the Reds for the time being at least.
Harrison had contacted Hull City boss Warren Joyce about a possible loan deal but that has now fallen through after reports suggested he is struggling for fitness following a long injury lay-off.
