Police have renewed their appeal for witnesses of a road accident which led to the death of a 63-year-old pedestrian.
Former landscape gardener George William Holdsworth, of Burnley Road, Colne, was "clipped" by a blue Ford Escort, possibly without the driver realising it, on a zebra crossing near the Red Lion pub in Market Street.
He died later in Burnley General Hospital from a brain haemorrhage, police said.
Colne town centre was very busy at the time and police want to hear from anyone who saw the accident.
Anyone with information can contact police on Burnley 01282 425001.
