FOOTBALL'S come home! The Football League officially opened its swanky new offices on Preston docks on Tuesday with some of the biggest names from football past and present in attendance.
The legendary Sir Tom Finney opened the new offices, which the Football League re-located to after deciding to leave their St Annes premises last year.
And the controversial acting chief executive of the Football Association, David Davies, was also in attendance, referring to Preston as his spiritual home.
He said: "It is great that Football has come to Preston, its traditional base. I have always had a great affinity for Preston and these offices do the town and the Football League proud."
And he refused to rule out a similar move for the FA. He said: "We are going through a period of reorganisation and restructuring and every option will be considered.
