A TYLDESLEY woman is to receive special recognition for her long and dedicated service to the St John Ambulance movement.
Eileen Wilkinson, of Prescott Avenue, is to be invested in to the Order of St John at a service in the historic Grand Priory Church, Clerkenwell, London.
Mrs Wilkinson will be admitted as an Officer and presented with the Insignia by the Lord Prior of the Order of St John, Lord Vestey.
Mrs Wilkinson is one of 100 people to be invested who have adopted the St John motto "In the Service of Mankind."
She is currently the Greater Manchester County Staff Officer for cadets and has served in various St John capacities for a total of 40 years.
