IMAGE builder John Ayres next month leaves his post as Town Centres manager.
Mr Ayres (pictured) two year contract as the man in charge of town centre revitalisation in Leigh, Golborne and Platt Bridge terminates at the end of March.
His Coalfield Challenge funded-post is not being renewed. Instead Wigan Borough Partnership is advertising for two Town Centres Co-ordinators. But they will be covering Leigh. Golborne, Platt Bridge, and new areas Atherton, Ashton, Hindley and Tyldesley.
The £16,543 - £20,679 salaried posts, on a two year fixed-term contract, will aim to raise the town's profiles as traditional market town shopping and entertainment centres.
