I AM writing in response to 'Realist, of Lostock Hall', who complains that South Ribble Council employs just two dog wardens when pavements throughout the borough are fouled with dog dirt (Citizen, February 18).
The author of the letter may care to recall that when my colleague Councillor Barrie Yates and I suggested that an extra dog warden should be introduced, the idea was rejected.
Fortunately the vote was recorded at our request and the names of those councillors who voted against the idea are available in public documents at the council offices.
I advise 'Realist' to get a copy of those names and keep it close to hand in readiness for polling day in the council elections on May 6.

Councillor, All Saints ward
