Falcon winners were Simon Duddle, Tony Royle, Gary Marsden and Ian Wilkinson.
Last year's winners Durban Hotel, who now play under the guise of the Falcon Hotel no 2, also progressed to the last 16 albeit with the narrowest of margins 4-3 against the spirited South Shore Tennis Club.
