NEW Chorley boss Dalton Steele will wield the axe ahead of Saturday's crunch home game with promotion-chasing Gateshead.
The former Winsford chief has already drafted in seven new men from his old club and up to six of them could make their debuts against the North-easterners.
And three more new faces could soon follow as Steele attempts to save the Magpies from relegation.
"The players I've brought in know me, they know what I'm about and I've groomed them so they will fight for me. The other players I've inherited have got to fight for the club.
"It's not about looking at people and giving them a chance now. They've had 31 games and 31 chances this season.
"I've got to get the right people who are going to be consistent.
"I believe there will be a couple more new faces before the end of the season because I think we need another three players.
"But it's not about personalties or managing people, it's about focusing on the next 11 games and seeing who's up for it and who is going to do the job.
"And if we can win seven of our last 11 games then I think we can stay up."
Strikers Winfield Steele and Steve Shaughnessey, midfielders Gary Thomas, Colin Lambert, Steve Aspinall and Eddie Hussin and defender Matt Harmer have all signed so far. And all except Aspinall, who is out injured, are expected to feature in some form tomorrow.
But Steele has dismissed suggestions his new recruits will leave at the end of the season if the club goes down.
"None of the players that I've brought in are just doing it until the end of the season," said Steele.
"They know that if we go down they are signed on for next year and I'm expecting them to still be at the club during that time."
In-form striker Tony Black looks like being ruled out of tomorrow's game through injury.
