IT'S been a great 12 months for a gymnastic club.
And the future is looking even brighter.
The St Helens Women's Artistic Gymnastics Club returned from competitions with no fewer than 60 plus medals.
The highlight came when 24-year-old Emma Potter claimed the British Veterans Championship title for the second year in succession.
The competition was held in Birmingham and saw gymnasts from all over the country including the Isle of Wight and Channel Islands competing.
Emma coaches the junior squad in the club and has a wealth of experience at both county and regional level. Now, after 16 years using local leisure centres the club is set to move into new premises, in the former Sacred Heart School off Borough Road.
This means they will be able to offer many more classes both for beginners and more advanced gymnasts. They also plan to hold classed for pre-schoolers during the day. The club has nine coaches all qualified at various levels. Further details of classes available can be obtained by ringing Anne Potter on 01744 630811 or Emma Potter on 01744 630707.
