Clock Face 16 St Helens Crusaders 11 CLOCK finally clinched victory in extra time of an energy-sapping St Helens Hays Chemicals Cup tie.
It came after the sides had been locked at 10-10 at the end of normal time.
The Crusaders' tries came from Cottingham and Hull, with Saunders landing the goals and a conversion.
Yelland, Ledger and Molyneux worked hard in the pack, with Fairhurst, Capewell, Lee and Mather solid in defence.
The Colliers Arms, Kings Moss, man of the match was Ledger.

This was a tough workout for Crusaders in an entertaining game. Coaches awards went to Adam Dugdale and Ryan Scott. Tries came from Clarke and Roughley with an excellent conversion in strong winds from Andy Stott. Man of the match was Tom Mowatt.

Crusaders advanced to the next round of the North West Counties Cup in a keenly contested game. Despite the muddy conditions, they demonstrated excellent handling skills scoring tries through Andrew Yates, Chris Howell and Anthony Harden with conversions by Ste Bolan and Lee Gaskell. Man of the match was Anthony Harden, coaches awards went to Chris Howell and Ryan Hannan, unsung hero was Shaun Davies, top tackler was Martin Harper and most improved Daniel Kenny.
