SINGER Keith Latham is returning to his roots to treat his "home" fans to a classical music extravaganza.
Keith, originally from Padiham, will join soprano Helen Field and tenor Jeffrey Lawton on stage at Colne Municipal Hall on March 14 for a concert entitled "With a Song in My Heart."
The trio will perform solos and duets ranging from light classical through opera to Victorian ballads, with a few hits from the musicals thrown in.
Gary Hood, entertainment manager with Pendle Leisure Service which arranged the event, said: "This is an exciting opportunity not to be missed. It is a rare chance to see some real home-grown talent."
Keith, a baritone, was a leading amateur with Burnley Gilbert and Sullivan Society, then studied at the Royal Northern College of Music.
From there he joined Scottish Opera and then in 1985 Opera North and then went on to the English National Opera and to perform worldwide in a variety of leading singing roles.
He has performed regularly on radio and television, including Harry Enfield's Guide to Opera.
Tickets for the Municipal Hall concert are available from the box office on 01282 661234.
