FORESTERS FC will not be allowed to wear their team shirts again until the Lancashire FA decides whether the club's crest is offensive or not.
The Blackburn Sunday League reported the matter to the LFA after Sport Extra displayed the club's cheeky badge which depicts a pint glass and a part of the female anatomy in the paper two weeks ago.
The club, which designed the badge themselves, introduced it before Christmas as a bit of fun but have since found out that league officials do not have the same sense of humour.
LFA official Jim Kenyon said: "It is too early to say what course of action we will take as we are in the process of writing to the club and will then have to await their reply.
"However until the matter is resolved, the club will not be allowed to wear the shirts again."
Kevin Filbin, secretary of Foresters FC, said: "I attended the Blackburn Sunday League meeting on Monday and they told me that the matter was now in the hands of the LFA.
"To be honest I think they whole affair has got out of hand but I suppose all we can do is wait and see what the LFA decide. "What I will be doing though is going to see a representative from the LFA in person and show them one of the shirts rather than have to conduct the whole affair through the post."
Foresters changed their shirts for Sunday's clash against top-of-the-table Lammack and ended up winning 1-0. Mr Filbin added: "It might be a good idea to change to shirts anyway seeing as we had just beaten the league leaders in our change shirts."
