THE traditional craft of saddlemaking will continue at a remote farm after its owners were given planning permission to change the first floor of an outbuilding into a workshop, store and sales area.
Pendle Council's Colne area committee was last night told the owners of Jerusalem Farm, Skipton Old Road, wanted to diversify from farming to provide a livery service for horse owners.
Part of the outbuilding will be used by a craftsman who will make saddles and leather goods to be sold on the farm as well as other equestrian products brought in from other sources.
