MY husband was taking our Yorkshire Terrier, Monty, for a walk on Tuesday, February 16, at about 10.30pm.
Monty was on his lead as usual and when they got to the corner of Adelaide Avenue there were two young boys who had a vicious-looking dog which my husband thought could be a bull terrier. It was roaming around freely, not on a lead, and as my husband walked past it pounced on our dog and shook him like a rag doll and would not let go until it had done considerable damage.
So I would like to warn responsible dog owners to watch out for irresponsible dog owners, who let young boys take these vicious dogs for walks when they cannot handle them. After all, it could have been a child.
My dog has since had two operations and is now on the road to recovery, thanks to Bold Veterinary Clinic, who have done an excellent job.
