I AM writing to you concerning the article about foxes getting trapped by vicious dogs and then clubbed to death by their owners for 'sport' (Citizen January 28).
I am outraged by this. It is an inhumane, needless killing, which they call 'fun'.
What right have they to go around killing innocent animals that do nothing to harm us?
They may eat our crops sometimes, but we spoil their natural environment.
We use their fur as decoration when we have killed them, we use them to test our beauty products and medicines. We are animals just as they are. They have a right to live peacefully, just as we do.
We owe a lot to animals, we owe them our protection.
So this violence should stop. When we have no animals left to kill, then what?
Will we turn on each other? People who kill animals are spoiling our world.
