I THINK of myself as being someone who cares about the environment. As a member of Bury Council's Environmental Forum, I join with other volunteer members of the community in my particular interest - transport environment issues.
How can Mr Dave Bentley expect anyone to vote for his Environment and Wildlife council election candidates when they seem only to be concerned with being an environmental pressure group?
He is reported in the Bury Times (Feb 26) as saying that his team would not be sitting on education and social services committees, but would refer enquiries on these matters to other ward councillors.
Mr Bentley obviously has no idea of the workload of a councillor. And a conscientious councillor is prepared to help constituents with all relevant matters.
