BALD blokes were kitted out with energy-saving woolly hats by Millenergy to emphasise the advantages of loft insulation.
Just as the majority of human heat is lost through the head, most warmth in the home is lost through the roof - and insulation could save the average household around £200 per year in heating bills.
Millenergy is a consortium of 13 Lancashire Councils and five other partners aiming to reduce CO2 emissions by 30 per cent before the year 2010.
The partnership offers free energy-efficient surveys and procedures at 25 per cent less than industry prices.
All households taking part in the survey receive an energy saving light bulb and Millenergy donates £1 to Save the Children for each visit.
Millenergy's Cherie Fox is pictured helping David Snape and Mathew Butterworth, from Sout Ribble Vorough Council, keep warm.
