DESPITE taking an unexpected point from Central, which might well have scuppered Central's title hopes, Blackford Bridge B failed to profit at Broadway B where they were on the receiving end of a 16-2 hammering.
With fellow strugglers Transport A collecting seven at Fearns A, who look to be safe, and Badgercote A having a nil return against leaders Broadway A, it's all in the melting pot for the bottom three to avoid the single relegation spot as the season draws to a close.
Badgercote B and St Thomas both advanced their claims to runners-up in Division Two with identical 10-8 wins against the other contender Rising Bridge who, despite those defeats, still managed to move up a place to second. At the bottom Wesley Nomads' already precarious position looks to be hopeless after a 15-3 drubbing by Oakgate who might now have done enough to stay up.
In Division Three, promotion beckons for both Waterbarn B and Transport who had untroubled outings against Goodshaw and Phoenix A respectively, as did Edenfield who conceded only three to Phoenix B, and Badgercote C, whose 13-5 beating of St Philip's was a reversal of their earlier meeting.
