MARTON Institute secured their 13th successive victory of the season when convincingly beating Seasiders A by 10-0 and currently head of the Premier Division of the Lytham St Annes and District Table Tennis League by 14 points from St Annes YMCA A, who had a good 9-1 victory over Carleton B.

Nivens Leisure Club soundly defeated Guardian Royal Exchange A in the First Division to ascend to second place in the table and although 17 points behind the leaders St Annes YMCA B, who could only manage a 5-5 draw against sixth-placed St Thomas Church A, have four games in hand.

Guardian Royal Exchange B retained their unbeaten run of 15 victories in the Second Division when winning 7-3 against St Annes Lawn Tennis C in their rearranged game, heading the division by 42 points from Ansdell Arena A who have four games in hand due to shortage of players.
