Haresfinch nil Bold Miners 52 BOLD produced another convincing performance to take them just one more win away from promotion.
Haresfinch battled bravely throughout but had no answer to the Miners fast flowing rugby. Gareth Hill scored a hat-trick of tries, one a scorching 60 metre effort. Mark Rigby and Chris Keane scored a try each with Wayne Graham adding two goals to make the score 14-0 at half time.
Wayne Kenyon opened the scoring after the break with a fine touch down. Then came the try of the game by Chris Burgess. He firstly gathered the ball near his own line then linked up with the back line and then 12 passes later he re-collected the ball to crash over near the posts. Mark Rigby, Chris Keane and Gareth Hill added another try each and Wayne Graham added four goals to complete the scoring.
Gareth Hill took the Grundy Excavations man of the match award ahead of Ste Prole, Nick Joseph and Mark Saunders.
