A SUPERFIT group of students are preparing to do a 24-hour "abathon" at St Helens College in aid of Alder Hey Children's Hospital.
The 22 students, all studying for the Advanced Preparation for Uniformed Services, will do nothing but sit-ups from noon on Thursday, March 11 to the same time the next day. By this time, the students hope to have completed over 200,000 sit-ups and raised more than £1,000 for the children's hospital. Further details of this event or the Uniformed Services programme can be obtained from Grant Williams on 623234.
