CHARTERED accountants in the Bury area now have their own section in a new, ground-breaking website.
The website, devised by Manchester Society of Chartered Accountants, is aimed at uniting professionals working in the business and financial communities throughout the area.
What began as a means of involving more local accountants in the services and activities of the Manchester Society, the website has been developed into a forum which is open to the professions in general.
And there are international dimensions, with links to related professional bodies in Europe and the United States. The website has been inaugurated by the president of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Chris Swinson.
The president of the Manchester Society of Chartered Accountants, Dr Bob Sweeting, said the aim was to bring the barriers down between the professions, as well as between chartered accountants with differing specialisms.
He added: 'The website offers a full range of easily signposted sections, dealing with subjects ranging from corporate finance and management to audit and tax, even complaints and grumbles."
