HUNDREDS of young people found out more about potential future careers at a major event staged at Turf Moor.
The Jobs 99 event was organised to enable local school leavers to meet employers.
Occupations covered included engineering, childcare, construction and information technology were highlghted at the event. Another Jobs 99 will be staged at Ewood Park on Thursday.
"These events are truly unique as they are not just designed to help young people make careeer choices," said Andy Fawcett, training and education development director of ELTEC which is organising the events.
"They offers hundreds of current job vacancies, matching the needs of local employers direct to the young people who want to gain qualifications whilst in employment."
Many of the vacancies at the Jobs 99 events are for Modern Apprentices - a scheme where young people work towards advanced level qualifications while earning a wage.
