A SHOCKED motorway driver escaped serious injury by seconds when a boulder was dropped off a bridge on the M65 at the Gannow junction, Burnley.
Mark Rose, of Earby, braked when the rock was dropped 50 yards in front of his car but ran over it, ripping off the exhaust and smashing the gearbox.
