AFTER witnessing the abject 'support' of a minority of Rovers fans against Sheffield Wednesday and Newcastle United, I feel compelled to state a few home truths.
1. Rovers need Brian Kidd more than he needs Rovers.
2. Rovers need their home-grown, young players more than they need Rovers (just look at James Beattie).
3. If the moaning, whingeing and booing continues on the terraces at Ewood, then Brian Kidd and many of our best players will be driven out or simply choose to work elsewhere.
4. Those currently whingeing and booing won't be with us if we end up in Division One. If they aren't happy with all that's been done for them over the past few years then the reality of playing the likes of Preston will guarantee their absence.
Why don't they save us all the bother and stop coming to Ewood from now on.
Rovers might have a chance of staying up with a home crowd that encourages and supports its players instead of booing them off at half time.
