SCHOOLS and teenagers are still the topic of negative reports, but let me tell you of the positive things done by pupils and teachers at Darwen Vale High, where I am a Year-11 student.
I am a charity representative, along with three other students whose responsibilty is to collect and count the charity money we get from pupils and teachers who are very generous.
Since September, we have donated £200 to the Children's Medical Unit at Queen's Park Hospital, Blackburn; £300 to Help the Aged.
Darwen Vale pupils have also collected items to be put in shoeboxes for the Nightsafe charity which helps homeless people. We are also planning an event for Red Nose Day.
