STUDENTS enjoyed, or endured, a few "hairy" moments in the stressful run-up to a college's annual hairdressing extravaganza.
But once the Carnival Creations show organised by NVQ Level III hairdressing students at Nelson and Colne College got under way at the Comfort Inn, Burnley, last night it was a huge success.
More than 100 people enjoyed an evening of hairdressing and design skills shown off by 10 students.
Ann Flynn, hairdressing section leader at the college, explained: "The show was part of their studies.
"They had to do everything themselves, from designing and selling advertising space in the programme to raising sponsorship, and designing the hair, make-up and clothes for the models to give them a total look."
