A PENSIONER suffered wrist and shoulder injuries when she tried to fight off a teenage thug who snatched her bag.
The 77-year-old was walking along Tanpits Road , Church, after a night out at bingo when approached by the youth.
He started to talk to her before grabbing her handbag and she fell to the ground. The black leather bag contained a small amount of cash and a pair of spectacles.
The youth was white, 18, 5ft 5ins, slim, clean shaven, with fair hair and wore a white jumper. He ran off towards Henry Street.

Burglars took a TV, video recorder and CD system, together valued at £1,490, from a house in Mill Street, Oswaldtwistle, at the weekend.
A TV, video and Sony Playstation, together valued at £640, were stolen from a house in Spring Street, Accrington, early on Saturday.
And a Sega Megadrive and games worth £225 were taken from a house in Waterloo Street, Clayton-le-Moors.
