CLARETS skipper Gordon Armstrong insisted today that manager Stan Ternent had the full backing of his players.
Ternent was having talks with chairman Barry Kilby this lunch-time to discuss the crisis at Turf Moor which heightened with last night's 6-0 home defeat by Manchester City.
But Armstrong dismissed any suggestion that the players have lost belief in their boss.
"He has the full support of everybody in the dressing room. There's no doubt about that," stressed Armstrong.
And the Burnley captain, who followed Ternent from Bury, hopes the manager stays on.
"Of course I do. That goes without saying. I know him. It's not an easy position. We have had two terrible results and it's not a nice situation to be in," he added.
