RESIDENTS and businesses in Burnley - your council needs you!
Planners have published eleven issues papers as part of the preparations for the new local plan for the borough in 2011.
That may seem a long time away but work has to begin early if the future make-up of the town is to work out best for everyone.
The council wants to involve as many people as possible and give residents a chance to have their say so a news letter is being distributed to every house, inviting comment.
Coun Stephen Large, chairman of the planning and environment committee, said: "We hope everyone will read the newsletter and give us their views."
This will be a plan for you, whether you're a local resident, a business, an investor or member of an official body or local group. Your involvement will make a better plan.
"Please read the newsletter and let the council know your views."
All replies before April 30 will be entered into a free prize draw to win a £50 Marks and Spencer voucher.
