CAN I state my disgust at the Benefits Agency in Blackburn?
My mother died on Monday, March 1. Her pension day was Tuesday.
I rang the Benefits Agency to ask them what to do about my mother's pension book and how to return it to them.
Before I could ask their advice, the first thing they said on hearing she had died on Monday was: "You can't draw her pension for this week. She is paid in advance".
I had no intention of drawing her pension. I was only seeking their advice on returning her book.
Their entire attitude was uncaring and offhand. I think they are completely devoid of feeling in that building. Are they human beings?
