TRANSLATORS and interpreters who have been awarded the coveted Charter Mark were congratulated by the Mayor and Mayoress of Burnley.
Coun Eric Selby and his wife Vera, equal opportunities committee chairman Coun Tony Harrison and vice-chairman Coun John Cavanagh attended the translation and interpretation unit to praise the staff on their achievement.
The Charter Mark is awarded for excellent public service. The service, which started in 1992, is the only one in the country to be recognised.
