THE worried relatives of an Accrington teenager who disappeared 12 days ago are pleading with her to come home.
Fiona Wooliscroft, 15, left home at the usual time to go to Moorhead High School on Friday, February 26, but she never arrived.
Since then she has been seen in Accrington in Nuttall Street and Ormerod Street and it is thought she has been staying in Fern Gore, Accrington, and at a house in Booth Street.
Fiona lives with her mother Pauline Arthurs and her two sisters and two brothers in Bertha Street.
Today her aunt, Dawn Fitzmaurice, of Plantation Street, made an emotional appeal for Fiona to go home to her mum.
She said: "Fiona rang me up at 10pm on Friday, but she wouldn't say where she was calling from.
"She said she was all right, but we just want her back at home. Her mum is a bag of nerves.
"Fiona wants to be a veterinary nurse, but she's missed a GCSE exam at school now so we don't know what's going to happen. "Fiona's grandma and grandpa moved to Cyprus four years ago and she's really missed them since then.
"We just want her to know that her grandma Pat is really worried and when Fiona comes back she can go to see them in Cyprus."
Inspector Steve Lee said: "Due to Fiona's age and the length of time she has been missing, there is still concern for her safety.
"We would like to see her go home or at least contact her mother, another relative or the police."
Fiona is 5ft tall and slim with a pale complexion, blue eyes and light brown, shoulder length hair.
When she left home she was wearing silver-rimmed, round glasses, a red sweatshirt, white school shirt, black trousers and a navy blue fleece jacket.
Anyone who sees a girl matching Fiona's description can call Accrington Police on 01254 382141.
